Our Mardi Himal trek adventure began with an exciting arrival in Pokhara, a picturesque city nestled amidst the stunning Annapurna range. With its serene lakes and breathtaking mountain views, Pokhara set the perfect tone for the journey that awaited us. On Day 2, we embarked on a scenic drive to Phedi, where our trek officially kicked off. The first destination on our trail was Pothana at an elevation of 1890 meters. The 4-hour trek offered us a gentle introduction to the trekking experience, surrounded by lush landscapes. As we ventured deeper into the heart of the Himalayas, Day 3 led us from Pothana to Forest Camp at 2600 meters. The trail was adorned with thick forests and diverse flora, providing a captivating backdrop to our journey. Day 4 brought us to Low Camp at 3035 meters, and the gradual increase in altitude allowed us to acclimatize comfortably. The trek of approximately 4 hours was filled with panoramic views that served as a constant reminder of the majestic beauty that surrounded us. On Day 5, we ascended to Mardi High Camp at 3550 meters, presenting us with even more breathtaking vistas. The trek was challenging yet immensely rewarding, with every step unveiling a new facet of the Himalayan landscape. Day 6 marked a highlight of our adventure as we hiked to Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4500 meters, an awe-inspiring destination that offered unparalleled views of the surrounding peaks. The descent back to Low Camp allowed us to soak in the sights from a different perspective. Descending further into the enchanting landscape on Day 7, we trekked to Siding at 1750 meters, covering approximately 7 hours on the trail. This leg of the journey introduced us to quaint villages and local culture, adding cultural richness to our mountainous expedition. Finally, on Day 8, we bid farewell to the trails and embarked on a 4-hour drive back to Pokhara. The journey, filled with adventure, stunning scenery, and cultural encounters, left us with lasting memories of the Mardi Himal trek, an experience that seamlessly blended the thrill of trekking with the serenity of the Himalayan wilderness.
